“Harmony in the Family” Gala Dinner

On the evening of June 5th, 2026, KFCC hosted its “Harmony in the Family” (家和萬事興) Gala Dinner. Even the downpour that evening could not deter the enthusiastic attendance of the community. The dinner brought together over 300 neighbours, friends, and their families, who shared an evening filled with laughter, deep reflection, and strong community fellowship.

The highlight of the evening began with a special sharing session by celebrity couple Wong Cho-lam and Leanne Li. They opened up about their own journey, sharing practical insights on family dynamics and marriage. Their testimony was both delightfully humorous and incredibly sincere, leaving the audience laughing one moment and deeply moved the next.

Following their sharing, Pastor Suen stepped up to offer a word of response and encouragement. She gently reminded everyone of the vital importance of treating one another with unconditional love and standing as mutual pillars of support through life’s ups and downs.

As the night progressed, guests enjoyed a lavish and delicious feast, chatting warmly and building deeper connections. Every attendee walked away with a blessed goodie bag (福袋), and the children were especially thrilled to receive extra, carefully prepared gifts that brought bright smiles to their faces.

The excitement reached its peak during the grand lucky draw. In what can only be described as a beautiful, full-circle moment, the Grand Prize winner turned out to be someone KFCC is very familiar with.

Mr. Joe was one of the residents deeply affected by the tragic fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po. After the incident, he relocated to Aberdeen. Remarkably, he was the very first person KFCC reached out to and supported during that difficult crisis. Seeing him win the grand prize at our gathering, surrounded by a community that loves him, was a profound reminder of hope and restoration for the entire KFCC team.
